The Cavapoo, also known as Cavoodle, is a popular mixed breed dog that is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. Here are some key characteristics and information about Cavapoos:

1. Appearance: Cavapoos can vary in appearance depending on their parentage, but they often have a soft, wavy or curly coat that can be short or medium in length. They come in a variety of colors, including white, black, brown, apricot, or a mix of these colors. They have expressive eyes, floppy ears, and a compact, sturdy body.

2. Size: Cavapoos come in different sizes, depending on the size of the Poodle parent. Toy or Miniature Poodles are usually crossed with Cavaliers to produce smaller Cavapoos, while Standard Poodles can result in larger Cavapoos. On average, Cavapoos typically weigh between 12 to 25 pounds (5.5 to 11 kg) and stand around 9 to 14 inches (23 to 36 cm) tall at the shoulder.

3. Temperament: Cavapoos are known for their friendly and affectionate nature. They are social dogs that enjoy being with their families and are usually good with children and other pets. They tend to be intelligent, eager to please, and easy to train. Cavapoos are often considered good therapy or companion dogs due to their gentle and loving disposition.

4. Energy Level: The energy level of a Cavapoo can vary depending on the individual dog and the traits inherited from their parents. Generally, they are active and enjoy daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. However, they are not typically hyperactive and can adapt well to different lifestyles, including apartment living.

5. Maintenance: Cavapoos have a low-shedding coat, making them a good choice for individuals with allergies. However, regular grooming is necessary to prevent matting and keep their coat healthy. Brushing a few times a week, regular ear cleaning, and dental care are recommended. Additionally, they may require professional grooming every few months.

Cavapoos make wonderful family pets and companions due to their loving nature, adaptability, and intelligence. However, it’s important to consider their needs, exercise requirements, and grooming needs before bringing one into your home.
